Welcome to Reception

Welcome to Reception class page where you can find out about all the exciting things we get up to….

Our class homepage is the place to find out about what's happening in Reception and see the latest photos. Our termly newsletter has lots of important information for parents and is available for you to download here, alongside other important information about our learning and any significant events as we move through the year.

Do keep checking back on our gallery page for the latest photos of our learning journey.

If you have any concerns, questions, or if you would like to speak to a member of staff, please feel free to contact us via Class Dojo.

Class Dojo

We use class dojo as a way to reward the children and to communicate with parents. You will also get any relevant updates on here too. Please remember that if your child is absent from school, contact the school office.

Tapestry

Don't forget to keep an eye on your child's online learning journal via Tapestry, to see what they have been doing on a weekly basis.  We would love to see any significant experiences your child has had outside of school. Please upload them to Tapestry, for example an exciting trip out or learning a new skill.

This term's topic is 'All Creatures Great and Small!' - see our newsletter for more information.

General Reminders

PE

The children will have PE on a Monday and Wednesday. In addition to this, the children are very active durnig Forest Friday, where they are encouraged to learn and develop new physical skills.  Please read this terms newsletter for more details about these lessons and what to wear to school.

Please ensure all items of clothing brought in to school are clearly named.

At Lower Park, our Reception classes have both an indoor and outdoor learning environment which the children access all year round. We believe there is a lot to learn in the outdoors and use the area to enhance all areas of the EYFS curriculum. Our learning environment consists of provision to enhance the children's learning as well as enabling them to learn effectively through play.

Here's to a fun filled and exciting year!
